In this mini tiffin the sweet prepared is Mango sheera. It is a delicious mango flavored kesari version.

1 cup sooji/semolina
1 cup or 3/4 cup sugar
Pulp of one ripe mango around 3/4 cup
1/2 cup milk
saffron ..a few strands soaked in milk
A pinch of green cardamom powder
3 tbsp ghee
1 1/2 cups water to make sheera
In a pan a add some ghee and roast rava and keep aside.Next fry the cashewnuts and raisins in a little ghee , when it becomes golden and the raisins become plump, , remove and keep aside.
In another pan, add water, sugar, pinch of cardamom powder.
Let it boil well, let sugar dissolve, then slowly add the roasted rava, cashewnuts, raisins, pulp of pureed mangoes, milk and saffron strands, cover and cook on a very low flame till the sheera is ready , the milk and sugar water would have been absorbed completely by the semolina.
Add 3 tbsp melted ghee, stir well
Serve warm or chilled
Serve with small slices of mangoes on top for decoration.
