These are delicious mouthfuls of yummy bites and tastes even more heavenly when made into a chaat.

Normally we do not  make so many tikkis , cutlets or patties varieties as no one seems to care for them except once in a while I give into the sole indulgence of my own palate.

I prefer to have them as a chaat with several chutneys and sev, the works. !.thereby making it into a sumptuous mini meal by itself. I also prefer to shallow roast them with drops of oil and it tastes great.

1 cup mashed cooked potatoes.
1/2 cup cheese, mozarella, cheddar or even cottage cheese.
1 tsp garlic powder ( optioal )
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp green chillies finely minced.
1/2 tsp pepper powder
 salt to taste
1 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves finely chopped.

1-2 tbsp corn flour
1/4 cup bread crumbs ( optional )
 1tbsp oil for shallow roasting

Take the mashed potatoes and make sure there should be no lumps. add the cheese, grated and first 8 ingredients  for the tikkis.

Make a smooth firm dough and keep in fridge for 30 minutes.
Remove and shape into small rounds or tikkis . Make a small paste of the corn flour to dip the patties/tikkis and roll over in bread crumbs before shallow frying.
Keep a griddle on heat, place all the tikkis around , add drops of oil and keep flipping till evenly coloured and crusted .

Remove and serve hot with sauces or make them into tikki chaats.

I like to use this recipe for fasting without using garlic powder, onion powder and using only pepper powder and green chillies with chopped coriander leaves for flavorings.

I then  add some thick fresh curds on top and sprinkle some chili powder , cumin powder and make a yummy chaat even for fast!.
