Faraali dosa is a great recipe to try for Vrat /fasting times. Not only is it healthy but also imparts a great falvor and a change from the routine dal . rice dosa.
1/2 cup Sama/ barnyard millets/Moraiyo/Mordhaan/Varai
1/2 cup rajgira flour
1/2 cup sour buttermilk
1 tbsp ginger green chillies paste.
sendha namak ( rock salt )
oil to make dosas.
Clean , wash the Sama millets and soak for 2-3 hours.
Then drain the water and grind to paste using very little water.
Add the rajgira flour, buttermilk, salt, ginger green chillies paste, mix well.
Keep this over night to ferment.
Next day prepare the dosa the usual way.
Serve with faraali sambar, green chutney or peanut curd chutney.
