Moong dal , oats, cabbage dosa ( weight loss recipe )






This is yet another tasty weight loss recipe for a quick dinner or a evening tiffin. It also makes a very filling nutritious breakfast keeping you full till a late afternoon lunch.


The soaking time is also less, and a quick grind , you are done. Adding cabbage not only makes it very healthy but also useful for weight loss  diet. It is optional.

Recipe

Ingredients


1 cup moong dal /green gram soaked for an hour minimum.
1/4 cup raw rice 
1/2 cup oats

1/2 cup chopped cabbage
small piece of ginger
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 green chillies
salt as required.
A pinch of asafoetida powder
curry leaves for garnishing .
Sesame oil for making dosas ( preferably)


Method

Soak Moong dal, oats and raw rice for an hour. ( oats can be added while grinding the batter too. )
Drain and grind with other ingredients.

Take a skillet, grease it, when hot add a ladle of batter and make quick circles like dosas.Keep the dosas a bit thicker than regular dosas.

Add drops of oil along the edges when dosa gets cooked .
Flip to other side to cook evenly.
Remove and serve with favourite accompaniments.

Note 

You can also cut open a masala  oats packet and add to batter while grinding to give a yummy masala flavor taste to this dosa. No need to soak the oats . Can be added to batter while grinding itself.
