These spicy lemony peanuts will surely come to the aid with their tongue tickling lemony twist and the crunch of the spicy peanuts as you keep tossing them in your mouth absentmindedly!
It is remarkable that monsoon rains always means something crunchy to snack on , preferably hot and fried crunchies and Indians have a great repertoire of such snacking options like Bondas, bajjis, pakoras, samosas, kachoris and the list is endless. It s a wonder these snacks really do something to the mind on a dreary rainy day where you could do with a hot cup of chai and something hot.
The simplest of them all is this masala peanuts which kids and old alike will enjoy either as a after school snack or tv snack.
This will not take more than 5 minutes of your time as the ingredients are so simple.
1 cup skinned roasted peanuts halved
1 tsp chili powder
Pinch of turmeric powder
1 tsp mango powder ( aamchoor powder )
Pinch of lime salt
Pinch of asafoetida powder.
1 tsp gram flour
1 tsp oil
Chopped cilantro leaves
Lemon wedge for serving.
With a tsp of oil roast the halved peanuts,add all the remaining ingredients one by one keeping flame on low.
Serve hot with a lemon wedge.
Serve with a hot cup of ginger tea.
